More Sabrata pics
Hello All,
I've resized some more photos from Sabrata that I particularly like for your viewing pleasure (click to enlarge).
Enjoy!

This statue was so so incredibly well-preserved and gorgeously sculpted. I call her the Lady of Sabrata

Sabrata has some incredible mosaics, photos really don't do them justice.

The Romans really liked columns...true story

What kind of camera are you using Joe?
Those pics are fantastic.
And yes the Romans loved pillars - I should know, I was there.
Using a Canon Digital Rebel SLR (the old one, not the Rebel XT) with the Canon EFS 17 - 85 mm lens and a Tamron polarizing filter for these shots.
There was also some post-production processing done in photoshop, particularly on the mosaic shots, because the lighting was bloody awful and they came out looking almost black and white.
